Family Hotspot: Connect and Learn

This week we've discussed the importance of digital equity - individuals and communities have the information technology capacity for full participation in our society, democracy, and economy.  Many of us have had to figure out various ways to use tech over the past year and in doing so our “tech capacity” has been challenged - spotty internet, slow devices, or maybe no device at all— we’ve all experienced it.

As Digital Inclusion Week 2021 (#DIW2021) comes to an end, we wanted to wrap up with you to hear from the youth about how they use technology to connect and learn. Our latest Family Hotspot asked our youth to share a time when they faced challenges using technology and how they use it in their everyday lives.

How we leverage technology can mean a lot for our school and work-life balance and enabling the future readiness of youth means equipping them with tools, resources, and knowledge that puts them on the path to digital empowerment.

To that end, we want to remind everyone that we are here to support our community with affordable home broadband, devices, digital literacy training, tech support, and application. As your key connector for #Atlanta, this is why we are here.
