Gearing Up for the (e)Mazing Race this March

It’s almost time for the (e)Mazing race! A premier annual event, the race is designed to educate our community about digital opportunities through exciting, interactive challenges while fostering connections among partners, volunteers, and participants.

Now in its fourth year, the event is set to be better than ever, with a new date and an exciting twist. First, we moved the race to March 22, 2025—the start of spring!—for optimal weather. Next, each challenge, or “pit stop,” on the course will align with one of five Sustainability Development Goals (SDG) that are part of our Digital Summit in September. These SDGs highlight areas where we are committed to expanding digital opportunities for underserved communities.

 A race for digital empowerment

How does it work? Inspired by the famous Amazing Race television show, teams of four will compete in a series of challenges that are designed to demonstrate how digital access and resources help build a stronger community and how this year they align with our five key global SDGs.

Pit Stop 1: Sustainable Cities & Communities

The first stop will highlight how we serve as a conduit for organizations working to create more sustainable communities. Our mission to increase access to technology in turn ensures critical resources reach those who need them most.

Pit Stop 2: Responsible Consumption & Production

In 2024, Inspiredu successfully diverted 247,800 pounds of e-waste from landfills! At this challenge, participants will learn how repurposing used technology can reduce waste and give devices a second life.

Pit Stop 3: Opportunities for All

Access to technology should be available to everyone. This challenge will showcase our collaboration with organizations across Georgia to provide digital tools, education, and support to traditionally underserved populations.

Pit Stop 4: Decent Work & Economic Growth

At this stop, team members will see how Inspiredu works with our partners to provide the necessary technology and education for a more digitally competent workforce.

Pit Stop 5: Good Health & Well-being

Technology can bridge the gap in healthcare access. This challenge will highlight our partnerships with Georgia Hospital Association and Children’s Hospital of Atlanta to help educate the community about telehealth services and digital health solutions.

The first team to complete all five stops and make it back wins the title of (e)Mazing Race Champion!
