Digital Discussion: Strengthening Institutions that serve the Latino Community

Hispanics are disproportionately represented in the digital divide, where only 65% have broadband access at home, and over a quarter of them can only access internet from their phones.

The digital divide continues to be problematic in the Hispanic community’s ability to navigate systems that are moving toward an “online-only” environment. The language barrier interrupts learning for those who want to pursue digital workshops. And we want to do all we can for all participants to understand what we are teaching them in general at all times.

Director of Partnerships and Programs, Oneisha Freeman, talks to Monica Cucalon and Caitlin Webb with the Latin American Association to learn more about the needs to serve the Latino community and how we can work together to make sure that everyone has access to digital literacy.
