Q. As an Inspiredu board member, what are you most excited about?
As board member of Inspiredu I am amazed at the organization’s professionalism and approach to the cause. Every dollar contributed is given back and invested into the community. Each and every member is self-motivated to give their best. They have constant ongoing workshops at various local Atlanta schools and community centers to provide kids with education, laptops, backpacks, books, certification courses etc. It is truly an honor to be part of this organization.
Q. What is your current job and what does it involve?
I have strong 22+ years of IT experience and currently working with UPS as Director IT Apps Dev. I have worked extensively in providing architecture, technical, analytics and digital solutions throughout my career. In my current role, I am working very closely with my team and stakeholders in delivering complex solutions to meet business and marketing needs for global brokerage area.
Q. How do you relate to Inspiredu’s mission, values, and/or work?
Inspiredu mission and values are very close to my heart. Growing up, I have seen my dad working with a nonprofit organization, India's National Institute for Education (NIEPA) on various programs, like 'Education for all' and 'Operation blackboard'. The goal was to provide basic tools, facilities, supplies and skills to encourage education to underprivileged kids especially in rural areas. Inspiredu mission aligns with helping and investing in youth growth and empowerment.
