— Rachel Daniel

Q.  As a Inspiredu board member, what are you most excited about?

I am very excited to be part of Inspiredu since they truly believe in making an impact on the community. I am genuinely thrilled about the purpose-driven impact Inspiredu has on children and families to bridge the digital divide. It has been an honor to serve as the Chair of the Advisory Board under Richard Hicks’ supportive leadership. I love the collaborative synergy that is encouraged between the board members, volunteers, and everyone involved.

 Q. What is your current job and what does it involve?

I am the CEO and Founder of Inclusive Diversity. We are a woman-minority-owned IT & healthcare recruiting firm.  My job is to ensure that my onshore and offshore teams of recruiters all understand our vision and are motivated to perform to the best of their abilities. I provide training on strategies, recruitment, sales practices, marketing, execution, and quality submissions to hiring managers. I create the overall strategy, planning, and execution to ensure we exceed our client’s expectations.

 Q.  What is a day like in the life of Rachel?

My days are exciting, challenging, busy, and organized. I wake up at 4 am every day and after my workouts and prayers, I get ready for the day and get my kids ready for school. Then I start by determining what are the top priorities that I need to accomplish for the day. Then I prioritize tasks that need to be completed. I have huddle calls with my onshore & offshore teams. I take time to plan, strategize and ensure my team understands what our long-term vision is and their priorities for the day. I attend investor/mentor and board meetings during the day. I am actively involved in building the sales and recruiting efforts for the company. I have had calls with my marketing manager on various marketing efforts for the company and business development efforts.

 Q. How do you relate to Inspiredu’s mission, values, and/or work?

I am deeply inspired by Inspiredu’s mission and the transformative impact it has on individuals and communities. I am an advocate for equity and inclusion especially for children and women. I find Inspiredu's mission to provide accessible and transformative educational opportunities incredibly inspiring especially because it empowers education, provides accessibility and inclusion, and holistic development for a child and family. This creates lifelong learning through a simple act of kindness.

I am extremely passionate about helping people, be it helping them find jobs or through random acts of kindness. I believe in spreading kindness and doing everything we can to remove barriers that may otherwise prevent someone from succeeding. Inspiredu’s mission to be inclusive is very close to my heart and I believe we all need to come together to help and empower one another! The long-time impact that Inspiredu has on a child and a family in need will be part of that child’s memory and will leave a lasting impression on how a small gesture of kindness can mean the world to someone!
