2024 Inspire Gala Recap

Inspiredu hosted the 2024 Inspire Gala along with our presenting supporter, Truist, this past Thursday, September 12th, at The Foundry at Puritan Mill.

We presented our Corporate Service Partner Award to Comcast, who have been a tremendous help to us this year. Lisa Walker Holloway, Senior Manager of External Affairs, who accepted the award said, “I am truly passionate about Inspiredu’s work and our shared goals for digital inclusion are helping to make our community connected more than ever."

Our Community Partners Award was presented to three different organizations, with each of them making their own incredible impact this year. We presented awards to Williams Oliver of Steamsport, Safa Delery of ICNA Relief, and Darnell Taylor of Taylor Made Foundation. Our partnerships are very important to connecting us to the community, and we are proud to work together with them to build digital equity.

The Carter/Porter family received the Lillian Hicks Family of the Year Award. We are glad to have changed their lives for the better through technology.

Our CEO, Richard Hicks, had some inspiring words to share and reminded us that our community is leaning on us to advance to the next level in their educational journey. '“We have to fight the good fight, we are going to make sure Georgia has what they need. Inspiredu is working to strengthen our under resourced and underestimated communities, these folks have success stories that haven’t been written yet, and they will be.”

We have more to come this fall with our Town Hall, Digital Skills workshops, Drive for Tech Golf Tournament, and Giving Tuesday Phone-A-Thon. We hope to continue receiving your support as we work to bridge the digital divide together!
