My work is very fulfilling because helping others is/will be my legacy.
— Sallie Wright

Q.  As an Inspiredu board member, what are you most excited about?

As a Inspiredu board member, I am most excited about the difference Inspiredu is making in Georgia.  The work being done with the public school system to close the digital divide is some of the most important work in the USA.

Q. What is your current job and what does it involve?

In my current job, I serve as a CIO and Executive Counselor providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to IT executives across the US. My focus is on helping the IT executive to improve the maturity of their IT organizations by using playbooks to accelerate change and enhance the capabilities of the IT Executive through professional development.

Q.  What is a day like in the life of Sallie?

I spend days in the office hosting virtual meetings on various IT and Leadership topics plus conduct one on one calls with individual executives.

Days when I travel, and it is a lot of travel, I do onsite meetings at the IT executive’s headquarters hosting work sessions for the executive leadership team.

My work is very fulfilling because helping others is/will be my legacy.

 Q. How do you relate to Inspiredu’s mission, values, and/or work?

Growing up in rural Oklahoma I understand the digital divide.  Poor communities don’t have the tax dollars to adequately fund the needs of public schools and the result is a digital divide.  The students of today are the leaders of tomorrow and everyone deserves to have the chance to succeed.
