Inspire Gala 2022
This year's Inspire Gala—held at the Mercedes Benz Stadium—was another amazing event. At the gala, families, business leaders, and community partners gathered to celebrate what we have accomplished in our efforts to close Georgia's digital divide.
The Sano family, this year’s Family of the Year, shared how they'd spent several hours at the library every day because they lacked access to a computer at home.
After attending our Family Learning Workshop, they have a computer in their home—and it's making a world of difference! Third grader Jaka Sano, who loves reading, says that having her computer has helped her with math and typing skills—and also allowed her to read books online. Parents Sesay and Wilson are able to help their children with homework while also pursuing their own educational goals.
The Sano family represents the over 700 families Inspiredu has served this year alone—and we’re so proud of all they’ve accomplished together.
At our gala, Cox Enterprise was honored as Volunteer of the Year. Shawan Allen, who represented them that evening, spoke glowingly of how their staff “grew addicted to volunteering at Inspiredu and helping change lives in the community”.
Our Inspire Everyday Hero Honorees were the workforce staff at MUST Ministries. We have been able to scale our impact through collaborative work, which is represented in our MUST Inspire program and with the support of Digital Champions. This partnership is a model of community support.
We love to share the stories behind our successes, and we're reminded of how important it is for everyone to have access. We are grateful for the support from NCR— our gala presenting sponsor—and all sponsors who invest in our mission; without them, none of this would be possible!
